Once you sign on and hire us at Gordon Property Management to take care of your rental property, you will probably wonder what to expect, especially in the first month. First, you’ll start to meet the whole team.

You will talk to Pamela, who will collect information from you such as your federal tax identification, your insurance information and your bank account information if we are going to make direct deposits into your account every month. If you have properties that are vacant, you’ll meet with Nanette, who is our leasing agent and once we start getting repair requests on your property, you’ll get to know Abby, who coordinates all maintenance issues for our buildings. Ryan will probably answer the phone and if no one else is around, you might talk to Meghan. You’ll always continue to deal with me as well, and we will set up things like distribution schedules.

It might sound a little confusing at first with all these different people, but you will get to know the whole team, which is important since you’ll be working with all of us. We feel very strongly about using the team approach and it helps us provide excellent property management services. A lot of companies have a portfolio style of management, where one person and only one person is responsible for handling everything associated with your property.

The team approach really gives us a lot more flexibility to assign the right person to a project or a task. Managing apartment buildings is unpredictable. One phone call about a water leak can change a person’s entire day. The team approach works well for us here. You’ll get to know all of us and remember that you tend to work with the same people over and over again. You’ll never talk to someone completely different every time you call.

At the end of every month, you can expect an itemized owner statement that details all of your income and every expense. We attach copies of any invoices and if you have any questions for us at any point, you can call or email us and we’ll be very responsive.

If you’d like to hear more, or you have any questions about how we work, please contact us at Gordon Property Management.
